Randolph ready to challenge Adrian after Euros boost
High on confidence following a strong performance at Euro 2016, Darren Randolph believes he is in the best position possible to challenge Adrian for the gloves at West Ham.
The Irish keeper started in the Hammers’ inaugural game against NK Domzale at London Stadium, though was on the bench for the opening Premier League match of the season.
Adrián got the nod against Chelsea – and escaped Diego Costa’s reckless late challenge without serious harm – but Randolph will push hard to usurp the Spaniard, especially if he replicates his efforts for Ireland during the summer.

The 29-year-old, who put in starring performances for Ireland against Italy and in defeat to the French, says he’s determined to continue his good form.
“I am full of confidence and enjoying my football. I am really enjoying being part of everything that is happening at West Ham,” said Randolph, who is set to play Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League tonight.
“It was one of the best experiences of my career during the summer and I have enjoyed the last year-and-a-half. I just want it to continue for as long as possible.
“Playing at the Euros against those teams and players can only help you when you perform at that level and give you confidence.
“I had a good cup run last season and I ended up playing a number of games. If that happens again this season it is down to me to perform whenever I get the chance to play.”
