Albrighton adamant the Foxes are firing again

Leicester’s Marc Albrighton insists the champions’ confidence is high again, following last weekend’s 2-1 Premier League win over Swansea.

After defeats to Manchester United in the FA Community Shield and and Hull City  on the opening day of the season, Claudio Ranieri’s team were still searching for a win when the Welsh side arrived at King Power Stadium.

Missed opportunities were the story of their draw with Arsenal a few days earlier but Albrighton believes the Foxes are firing again.

“We played some lovely stuff at times,” he told the club website.

“We got the ball down and passed it and we knew that they were going to have a lot of possession and we dealt with that well.

“We got in their faces, won the ball back in good areas and passed the ball well ourselves. We created lots of chances and probably should have put the game to bed a lot earlier.”

“It’s always good to get a goal before half-time, especially when you’ve been on top and had chances but not put them away.

“It can get a bit frustrating and you can get a bit restless but I think we dealt with it well, kept pressing and got the goal and it was fully deserved.”
