Allam upset to be last local Hull City owner
Hull City owner Dr Assem Allam admits he will be upset to be the final local owner of the club if he manages to sell to foreign investors.
Dr Allam took over Hull City back in 2010 and saw them reach the Premier League via the play-offs last season, but is still trying to sell the club.
He lost manager Steve Bruce earlier this summer after the manager’s relationship with vice-chairman Ehab Allam deteriorated.
Talks are thought to be ongoing between Dr Allam, who has unsuccessfully attempted to rename the club Hull Tigers, and potential new owners at the KCOM Stadium with negotiations with one buyer in advanced stages.

“What hurts me is to feel that it seems I am the last local owner here,” he said.
“I have been here for 47 years, including a further two years where I lived 200 yards from the stadium when I was studying. But now it looks like I am the last local owner.
“I walked into football without being a football man at all. I tried to save the club for the sake of the community.
“Had the contract to sign the deal been delayed for four days you would have had a padlock on the game.
“I’m not regretting it really because I saved the club.”
