Dann: Palace will use international break to turn a corner
Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann is hoping his side have now turned a corner during the international break, after a disappointing start to the new Premier League season.
The Eagles were 1-0 down to Bournemouth in last weekend’s clash, but produced a much-improved performance in the second half – which culminated in Dann netting an injury-time equaliser at Selhurst Park.
That earned Alan Pardew’s side their first point of the season, and skipper Dann is adamant their performance after the interval shows the side does have what it takes to improve.
And with an opportunity for a fresh start after the World Cup qualifiers reach their conclusion this week, Dann is urging the Palace squad to settle down and get back to winning ways.
“I think that is us turning the corner and playing a lot better,” he said. “It has been a lot of change with players leaving and new players coming in.
“We have had players coming back from international duty and it has been a lot of things going on.
“But we have to make sure that no matter who is picked, we have to put in performances like that.
“We showed what we are capable of, but we need to improve over 90 minutes.”
