Feghouli adapting to Hammers life

West Ham might be experiencing a rough patch at the moment but it hasn’t affected Sofiane Feghouli’s adaptation to the English game according to the Algerian winger.

Feghouli arrived at the Hammers from Valencia after six years in La Liga but had to bide his time for a league debut because of a hamstring injury.

He finally made his league bow away to West Brom, and came off the bench again for Sunday’s home loss to Southampton.

Those two defeats have left the Hammers in the bottom three, with just three points from six games, but Feghouli insists he is nearing full fitness and is determined to help West Ham turn things around.

He said: “I am really happy to be in England and playing for West Ham. Playing in a new league, in a new country and with a new way of life is an incredibly rewarding experience and one that I am enjoying.

“After six years in Spain with Valencia, I am pleased with how things are going at the club.

“It was obviously annoying to have picked up an injury so early on in my career with West Ham, preventing me from starting the season as I would have liked to.

“I am getting back my form and hopefully, in the next couple of weeks and with some game time, I can get back to feeling 100 per cent.”
