Livermore adamant Hull can survive
Hull City may have had a turbulent summer but midfielder Jake Livermore insists their start to the season shows they can survive in the Premier League this year.
The Tigers lost manager Steve Bruce in July when he resigned due to a lack of transfer activity, and the club started the season with just 13 fit professional players.
However, back-to-back wins against Leicester and Swansea were followed by several new signings, giving the club renewed optimism.
And Livermore says life has never been better at the KCOM Stadium, despite upcoming games against Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
“It is nice to be settled. I love it here, I love the area, the fans, my team-mates and the staff so hopefully we can push on because we have got a good thing going here,” he said.

“Every game is going to be a test, we know that. Whether we are the underdogs or we have the pressure to win, we need to approach the games slightly differently.
“But we will show the same passion and tactics as we have done so far in all the games.”
Bruce’s exit rocked Hull but the club has stabilised with interim boss Mike Phelan at the helm, and Livermore admits he enjoys working under the former Manchester United assistant manager.
“We were all shocked and disappointed when Steve Bruce left but Mike came in and he has been absolutely fantastic since he had the role,” he added.
“The players are working for him and each other and I think that is key.”
