Moyes set to go bargain hunting
Sunderland boss David Moyes is on the hunt for free agents after naming only 21 players in his Premier League squad.
The Black Cats struggled in the summer transfer market after Sam Allardyce left his role as manager to take over the England team.
Striker Fabio Borini is set for three months on the sidelines with a groin injury, leaving the Black Cats with Jermain Defoe as their only recognised centre-forward.
With keeper Vito Mannone out for three months and Jordan Pickford also an injury concern, Moyes is keeping all options open.

And Sunderland have asked for special dispensation to sign Boavista goalkeeper Mika to solve the club’s goalkeeping crisis.
Pickford has deputised for Mannone but left England’s Under-21 squad this week with a thigh problem.
He is now a doubt for the Premier League clash with Everton, leaving 20-year-old rookie Max Stryjek as Moyes’s only option.
However, under rules clubs without two senior goalkeepers are allowed to seek cover on a week-by-week basis.
