Rangel backing Llorente for more Swans strikes
They may have been put to the sword by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City for the second time inside a week but Swansea’s Angel Rangel believes Fernando Llorente’s first Swans goal is plenty enough reason to be cheerful.
Llorente equalised from Sergio Aguero’s early strike, using his strength before instinctively firing home following Gylfi Sigurdsson’s ball into the City box.
The Spanish international joined on a two-year deal from Sevilla in the summer, and compatriot Rangel believes it will be the perfect confidence boost for the 31-year-old.

“I think that was Fernando’s best game,” he said. “That was a big positive for us – seeing our striker scoring his first goal.
“He has been working hard for it. He has had to wait until his sixth game, but hopefully he can get a few more now.”
Llorente was one of the Swans’ bright sparks on a disappointing afternoon, suffering their fourth Premier League defeat of the season to sit just above the relegation zone – although Rangel was keen to look at the positives.
“There were good signs. We played better football than we have recently. We looked more organised and played more as a unit,” he continued.
“That’s what we need to do, especially at home.
“It’s been a tough week. We knew approaching the game that they were going to put all the best players out.
