Chadli hails Foster as Baggies’ hero
Scoring a late goal against his old side and almost giving West Bromwich Albion the three points against unbeaten Tottenham Hotspur, you would have thought Nacer Chadli would be the Baggies hero, but he thinks it was Ben Foster.
Chadli grabbed an 82nd minute goal against Spurs which looked to have given them the win, until Dele Alli popped up to score a minute from time and maintain the visitors’ unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
But Chadli reserved special praise for his own goalkeeper, Foster, who’s succession of first-half saves kept the Baggies in the game when Spurs threatened to run away with it.
Even Alli admitted his frustration at Foster’s performance, without which Tottenham would be top of the table.

And Chadli was delighted with his number one’s performance.
“For me, Ben was the best man on the pitch,” said the Baggies’ record signing.
“For sure, he made unbelievable saves and he was unlucky at the end conceding the late goal.
“It’s frustrating for us I think but when you see the game, you see Tottenham have more chances than us, you have to be fair.
“But when you score that late in the game, you always hope for the three points.
“It was unlucky for us.”
