Dyche to give Burnley more freedom on the road
Sean Dyche feels his Burnley side need to play with more freedom away from home if they’re to start picking up points on the road this season.
Burnley suffered their third straight Premier League loss away from Turf Moor when they slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Southampton on Sunday – they have also conceded nine goals on their travels.
By contrast Dyche’s men have beaten Liverpool and Watford at home and the Burnley manager wants to replicate those performances more regularly.
“Our home form has been good, we’ve been solid and looked organised and had quality moments when it’s been important,” said the 45-year-old.

“Away we haven’t found that feel; tactics are one thing but there has to be the actual inner bravery to go and play.
“I think that’s a big growth in us, playing away like we have done at home with that energy and fervour, but also that bravery to have the ball and deal with the ball.
“I just think we play a little bit within ourselves and we can’t do that.
“At home we play outside ourselves, we play with front foot thinking, but away we’ve just played within ourselves and that’s got to change.”
