Fabianski: Bradley takes over a Swansea side playing well

Bob Bradley has taken over at Swansea City but keeper Lukasz Fabianski is adamant the American is taking over a side that are playing better than their results suggest.

It took a late James Milner penalty for in-form Liverpool to take down the Swans last weekend and they also battled hard in defeat to table toppers Man City.

But the run of defeats under Francesco Guidolin has cost the Italian his job – they sit 17th after seven games only outside the drop zone on goal difference.

But the Poland No.1 insists his side are better off than their one league win so far would suggest – even if they now need to turn potential into points under their new boss.

“The performances have been better but it is all about results,” he said.

“In any sport or any league, whether it is the Premier League or anything else, it is all about results.

“It is not about being nice to watch or anything like that. It is about winning and grinding things out, even if it means sacrificing nice football. We have been better on the ball but the results are not happening.

“The run of games we have had has been against very good teams and at any other stage of the season we would be in a better situation and no-one would be talking about this result.

“But with the way results have gone and the stage of the season we are at it means we find ourselves in a very difficult position in the table so it is a tough time.”
