Mee puts the Heat-on rest of Burnley squad
Tom Heaton has bailed Burnley out time and time again already this season and defender Ben Mee admits his side cannot continue to rely on the goalkeeper to boost their survival chances.
Heaton has been earning rave reviews for his performance for the Clarets – indeed his stock has only risen since earning his first England cap over the summer thanks to a superb season in the Championship.

The 30-year-old arguably pulled off his best performance of the Premier League season last weekend – making an incredible 11 saves – but Burnley still succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against Southampton.
And Mee insists it is imperative that Heaton enjoy far quieter afternoons sooner rather than later.
“He was fantastic on Sunday. It was a shame we couldn’t back him up a little bit,” he said. “One of those saves was the best I have seen a keeper make.
“It’s good to have a keeper in form and he’s there when we need him.
“It gives you a lot of confidence, his security with the ball and his voice.
“He has been dealing with everything that’s been coming his way but it would be nice to not need him as much, so we will look to improve on that.”
