Moyes: Sunderland players doing their best
Sunderland might be rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table after ten matches, with no wins and two points so far, but boss David Moyes insists he and his team are doing all they can.
The Black Cats’ latest defeat was at the hands of Arsenal, who ran out comfortable 4-1 winners at the Stadium of Light thanks to three goals in quick succession minutes after Jermain Defoe had brought the sides level.
Moyes, who was sacked less than 12 months into his previous two jobs at Manchester United and Real Sociedad, , is reportedly fighting for his future – especially now that former manager Sam Allardyce is back on the market.

But the Scotsman has come out fighting, insisting his players are doing all they can.
“The message is the players are giving everything they can. It was not through the lack of effort, or the lack of trying – they played a team with a lot of quality,” he said after the defeat.
“We are not in a good position and need to play better. The players are doing their best, but you will only ever be judged by your results.”
