West Ham’s Feghouli insists Premier League experience is a must for any player
Sofiane Feghouli left La Liga behind for West Ham in the Premier League and the Algerian international has claimed every player must prove themselves in England’s top flight.
The 26-year-old has played for Grenoble, Valencia and Almeria on loan and is now challenging himself in East London.
He is adamant the decision to move was an easy one and according to Feghouli, a player cannot be considered successful without some experience of the Premier League.
“I wanted to give the Premier League a go because it’s one of the best leagues in the world and attracts so much attention from around the world,” Feghouli explained.

“In my opinion, every player needs to play in the Premier League at least once in their career for it to be a truly successful one.
“It wasn’t too difficult to come to my decision. I was coming to the end of my contract at Valencia and for various reasons, we were unable to renegotiate and so, I needed to find a new club and consider the offers that were being made.
“I knew about West Ham and I had heard a lot about the passion of the fans. After speaking to the manager and listening to his project, it was an easy decision for me to join the Club.”
