Bellerin wants to give Gunners silverware service
Hector Bellerin insists he did not even consider leaving Arsenal – and the defender is desperate to mark his new six-and-a-half year contract with a trophy at the end of the season.
The right-back had been rumoured to be subject of interest from Manchester City and Barcelona in recent months, but ended any speculation over his future by signing the long-term deal on Monday.
Arsene Wenger has had to make do without his services this month as the 21-year-old is currently sidelined by injury.

But the Spaniard is confident that he can continue to contribute to a side that took a valuable point away from Manchester United last Saturday thanks to Olivier Giroud’s last-minute header.
“I’ve just got to keep on progressing, keep working hard to be the best player I can be,” said Bellerin.
“Hopefully then I can help the team to be where it’s got to be, to win some silverware. That’s what everyone wants and that’s what I’m working towards.
“I’ve been here for more than five years now so I was really, really excited when the club told me that they wanted to extend my contract.
“I wasn’t thinking about anything else other than staying here and continuing my development here.
“This is where I’m happy. I’m just very grateful and pleased to have signed.”
