Everton boss Koeman impressed with Besic’s approach to injury
Ronald Koeman has praised Muhamed Besic’s positive mental approach as the Everton midfielder continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury.
The Bosnian has been sidelined since early August, when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament, against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Reconstructive surgery then followed with Koeman at the time predicting that an injury of that nature would usually require at least six months recovery.
Besic is now three months down the track with the Everton boss providing the latest update in his recovery.
“He’s progressing well. What we said [about his recovery] he’s on his way to being back,” he said.
“It’s a long-term injury and you need to be patient. But the medical staff are really happy with Mo because he has shown a really good professional attitude. That makes it easier to come back.
“It’s always a difficult time for footballers because what you like is to play a part on the pitch and train every day like normal. But he can’t, so it’s important to get support and help from the manager, the rest of the coaches and teammates.”
