Everton starlet is making his time with Lukaku count
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been forced to bide his time at Everton but the England Under-20 international admits he has been shadowing Romelu Lukaku’s every move since his summer transfer.
The 19-year-old has yet to make a senior appearance for the Toffees though it is no surprise considering Lukaku has needed little help up front this year.
The Belgian has hit the net seven times in 11 Premier League games while Calvert-Lewin has been adjusting to life in the top tier since his £1.5m switch from Sheffield United.

If the youngster goes on to make anything like the impact of Lukaku at Goodison Park then it will be money well spent – and he is eager to soak up his new teammate’s knowledge in the meantime.
“I’m learning from Lukaku, who’s in the first team scoring goals, and that’s an experience in itself,” said Calvert-Lewin, whowas named on the bench for the first time in the Premier League last month.
“Obviously there’s loads of little bits you pick up from everybody; from the boss, Erwin [Koeman], Duncan [Ferguson], people like that, so it’s a good experience all round.
“I’m really enjoying myself. I’ve started training with the first team a little bit now, which I’m really enjoying. I’m improving every day, just listening and learning, picking up on little things that will make me a better player and just pushing on.
“I’m all eyes just looking and learning really. It’s a different battle when I’m up there. I have to be that extra per cent better, each training session is like playing a game and I’m only going to get better from it.”
