Fernando: Happy Aguero means good times for Manchester City
Manchester City midfielder Fernando hopes Sergio Aguero continues to have a smile on his face heading into next weekend’s crunch clash with Chelsea.
The Argentine striker took his tally of goals for the season to 16 in 18 appearances with a double against Burnley on Saturday.
That helped the third-placed Citizens onto 30 points for the season with Liverpool above them on goal difference and Chelsea leading the way one point better off.

Next Saturday sees first versus third go head to head in a lunch time kick off and Fernando admits a full-firing Aguero will be invaluable for their chances not just this week but for the campaign as a whole.
“We are very happy when Aguero is in a good mood and good shape, we are very happy for his two goals but also for the two goals for the team but we hope he can keep scoring,” he said.
“In the Premier League we know that every match is difficult, Chelsea will be very difficult of course and we will need to be very focused and try to get the three points like in every game to get our target which is winning the Premier League.
“It’s always better if we have some extra days to relax. Pep (Guardiola) will analyse the next opponent and get us ready for the game.”
