Howe confident Cherries forwards will find their feet
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe insists he has the utmost faith that his toothless attack will come good – and has no plans to tinker with his line-up.
Ahead of their trip to Stoke on Saturday, the Cherries had scored just once in three games since their 6-0 drubbing of Hull.
But while they are creating enough chances – with England international Jack Wilshere growing in influence in the team – Howe will refuse to consider either a change in formation or personnel.
“No, because of the fact we’re creating those chances,” he said. “And if you look where the final shot is, we had a number inside the box in central areas (against Sunderland), so it’s not like the chances we’re creating are from 35 yards out and we have no real chance of scoring.
“We’re getting in great positions. Sometimes it’s just that coolness to pick your spot and find the net, which is probably the hardest thing to do in football.”
Callum Wilson – whose season was lost to injury last year – has recently recovered from a hamstring injury to boost Bournemouth’s attacking options.

“We believe in the players we have,” added Howe. “We believe in the way we play. You need that internal belief you will score, individually and collectively. I don’t think goals will be a massive problem for us.
“It’s (the lack of goals) a mixture of things. When you don’t get the results you want to analyse everything. The goals we conceded against Sunderland were disappointing. The chances we created and our inability to finish those chances was frustrating.”
