Ozil: Arsenal want to show they can beat anyone

Arsenal seemingly have a new-found resilience this season and Mesut Ozil believes his side can continue to sweep aside all-comers – with Manchester United lying in wait on Saturday.

The Gunners, in fourth, are two points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool but have not lost since their defeat to the Reds on the opening weekend of the season.

Ozil has been the key driver of their form, with the Germany international already chipping in with seven goals – just one fewer than last term.

Playing United at Old Trafford is not as fearsome a prospect as it once was and Ozil is confident Arsenal will announce their return from the international break with a victory in Manchester.

“[We need to] win every game, get as many points as possible and also be successful against the big teams, like we were against Chelsea,” he said. “We have the quality to beat any team and that’s what we want to show this season.

“You can see that the big clubs at the top have quality, and that we have to win every game because of how tight it is at the top.

“Our goal has to be to look at ourselves. If we win the games, we’ll be at the top at the end.”
