Robson-Kanu happy at West Brom despite little action

West Brom forward Hal Robson-Kanu has admitted he is ‘loving’ his time at West Brom- despite making just eight substitute appearances since his move last summer.

The Welshman, who was signed on a free transfer on deadline day, hasn’t scored since his summer move from Reading and has found game time hard to come by under manager Tony Pulis.

Robson-Kanu was much sought after in the summer following a string of impressive displays for Wales at Euro 2016.

And, although the move to West Brom is yet to work out, he believes he can play a part in helping his club achieve their aims of a top-half Premier League finish this season.

“I’m really enjoying it,” he said. “It’s a fantastic club to be at, the manager’s great, the players are great.

“Everyone knows their jobs, everyone is willing to work hard and contribute to picking up results. It’s a great club to be a part of.

“We’ve got a strong squad and a strong team. We just have to keep working hard to pick up results and hopefully we’ll shoot up the table.”

Despite an upturn in form that saw his side go unbeaten throughout November and rise to ninth in the Premier League, the Wales international insisted Tony Pulis is keeping the entire squad grounded.

“This is when the benefit of an experienced manager comes in, he keeps everyone focused on the job,”

“We compete at this level but we don’t want to get too carried away. We’re very much focused on the run of form that we’re in and working hard to keep it going.

“We have to take each game as it comes, especially at this level.”
