Flynn confident of survival on return to Swansea City
Former Swansea City manager turned scout Brian Flynn believes the squad needs further additions if it is to achieve its aims this season.
Flynn, who famously kept the club in the Football League in 2003, is back at the club as part of the scouting team and will work under head of recruitment David Leadbeater.
The former Wales international spent eight years in charge of various Wales youth sides after leaving the Swans first time around and is confident the club can climb up the Premier League table.
“We need to add to the squad, but I am sure that between us, we can achieve our targets for the rest of the season,” he said.
“If I can play a small part in keeping us safe, I will be delighted. I hope that in time, I will be able to play huge part in the club’s success.
“I am certain that we can get ourselves up the table because there is quality in the squad.”

In his time as Swansea manager, Flynn was responsible for bringing in the likes of Roberto Martinez, Lee Trundle, Leon Britton and Andy Robinson to the Swans, all of whom arrived on a free transfer.
And he’s hoping to replicate those successful acquisitions again in his new role.
“They were players who came in and made an impact, and that’s what you want from a new signing,” he added.
“I hope to make a difference now by helping the club find players who can come in make an impact at Premier League level.
“I believe I can do that because I know what Swansea City want. I know the way things are done at Swansea, I know the method and I know which players will fit in at the club.”
