Foster eyeing silverware with Baggies and a personal milestone
With a new contract in the bag, there are just two more things Ben Foster wants for Christmas – a trophy and to play every minute of this Premier League season.
The West Brom goalkeeper inked a deal that will keep him at the Hawthorns until the summer of 2019.
He has made over 150 Premier League appearances for the Baggies and, after battling back from knee surgery earlier in 2016, has been an ever-present between the posts so far this term.
Foster’s strong performances have helped West Brom to the heady heights of eighth in the league at Christmas but the stopper is eyeing some silverware, although the only cup competition they remain in this season is the FA Cup.

“I would love to help us win a Cup,” said Foster, after putting pen to paper on the new two-and-a-half-year deal.
“I did that with Birmingham City a while back now and the sense of achievement was massive. It would be so good for everyone at Albion to experience the same thing.
“That would be the ultimate really. We’ve still got the Premier League to fight for of course but I think we are looking to push on a little bit more now as far as that goes.”
Foster has twice come close to playing every minute in a campaign and the ex-Birmingham keeper admits that is a personal achievement he would love to tick off his bucket list.
“It would be great to play every minute of every season,” added Foster. “I nearly did it in my first year here but had to miss the last game and at Birmingham, I missed half an hour of one game.
“But it would be nice to be able to say that.”
