Jake Livermore backs Hull to emerge from relegation dogfight
Jake Livermore insists no one at Hull City is under any illusion as the scale of the challenge ahead of them in the Premier League, claiming Mike Phelan’s side is primed for a dog fight.
The Tigers are struggling in the Premier League and have suffered on the road in particular, but former Spurs midfielder Livermore insists it is not all bleak for the Yorkshire side.
The 27-year-old has played 18 times for Hull this season and, after scoring his first goal of the campaign against Crystal Palace last weekend, feels a little bit of luck could boost the Yorkshire side.

“I think we have been a little bit unlucky with the way certain things have fallen for us,” Livermore explained.
“I thought we played really well against Sunderland recently but things just didn’t drop for us.
“Having said that, we’re under no illusion that we’re in a dogfight and we’re ready for that. We’ve got a good group here. We all want to do well for each other and we’ve all got a point to prove because we all want to do well at this level. We have what it takes to do that.”
