On-loan Calum Chambers enjoying run in Middlesbrough team
Calum Chambers is relishing the first-team opportunity his loan switch to Middlesbrough has given him.
The 21-year-old defender, who moved from Arsenal until the end of the season over the summer, has featured in every game but one since his debut against Tottenham in September.
And Chambers says he is enjoying life on Teeside – delighted to be featuring on a regular basis.
“The main focus of coming here was to play centre-back and get the game time, as well as helping Boro any way I can,” he said.
“For me, to get this experience will ultimately make me a better player.

“I think both the team performances and as an individual have been good, and I’m really enjoying it here.”
The England under-21 international moved to Arsenal from Southampton in 2014 for £16 million, and has made 36 league appearances in two years at the Gunners.
Boro drew 2-2 with Leicester at the King Power Stadium in their last game, with only an injury-time Islam Slimani penalty denying the visitors all three points.
Aitor Karanka’s men face Hull City on Monday, and Chambers says there are plenty of positives from the Leicester game to take into the clash at the Riverside Stadium.
“Everyone was disappointed to only draw [at Leicester], but that’s a great thing to say coming away from the home of the champions,” he added.
“I think it was one of our best displays so far.
“Now we’ve got a good few days to prepare for Hull and work on our game plan. We’re looking forward to it and it’s another chance to get three points.”
