We must take positives into next game, says Crystal Palace skipper Dann
Scott Dann says his Crystal Palace teammates need to take heart out of their Boxing Day point at Watford as they look to climb the Premier League table.
Palace took the lead at Vicarage Road under the watchful eye of new boss Sam Allardyce through Yohan Cabaye, but had to settle for a point after Hornets skipper Troy Deeney’s second half penalty.
The Eagles sacked manager Alan Pardew after a run of seven defeats in nine games saw them slip to 17th in the league.
And central defender Dann is determined to take the positives out of a point on the road, ahead of their trip to Arsenal on New Year’s Day.

“If you can’t win then make sure that you don’t end up losing the game,” he said. “That is the way it has finished but when you look at the game, chances and decisions, then you would have to say we have dropped two points.
“It’s a point away from home and we have to take the positives.
“As the weeks go by we will become more resilient as a team and when we do get ahead like we did we will see more games out and the points will start coming.
“If we can put in another performance similar to this one we can start getting some more points on the board.”
