Origi: Liverpool will come back stronger

Divock Origi insists Liverpool need to refocus as they enter a busy Christmas period on the back of a disappointing pair of results.

The Reds currently sit third in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Chelsea – who have won their last nine league games.

Liverpool were keeping pace with the Blues before Nathan Ake scored a late Bournemouth winner in a 4-3 victory last week and West Ham snatched a 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday.

And Origi, who scored Liverpool’s equaliser against the Hammers, has urged the Reds to bounce back quickly ahead of clashes against Everton and Manchester City.

“It’s a busy period so for us it’s good that you can concentrate on the next game and we want to win, for sure,” he said.

“The season is long and in the Premier League anything can happen, as you’ve seen before. We don’t lose hope, we just use this to come back stronger and I’m sure we will.

“The most important thing is to cool down and we will evaluate the game with the staff.

“There are points that we have to work on but you just have to use the experience to come back stronger.”
