Burnley boss Dyche shrugs off fixture congestion ahead of Cup replay
Most managers will see a FA Cup replay as a major headache, but manager Sean Dyche insists his Burnley side are only too happy to get back to Turf Moor.
The Clarets drew 0-0 away at Sunderland on Saturday and the replay will add another fixture to the list – hot on the heels of a busy festive period.
With a winter break still widely called for, fixture congestion is still a major irritation for many Premier League bosses.

But Dyche insists the schedule compares favourably with the Championship – which Burnley won last season.
“I’m not bothered about having another fixture to play. We’ve just come out of the Championship where you are constantly playing,” he said.
“In the Premier League we do have some breaks and generally it’s week to week, rather than Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday.
“I don’t remember us crying it in. When a game comes along, we take on the challenge and see what comes.
“I am pleased to be at Turf Moor as many times as we can, but I’m also pleased because we made changes and people who haven’t played for a while delivered really good performances.
“It was a good spectacle from my point of view because I felt we gave a good performance.”
