Gray confident Clarets can avert away-day hoodoo
Andre Gray insists it’s only a matter of time before Burnley pick up points on the road – despite their wretched Premier League record away from Turf Moor.
The Clarets have just one point on their travels this season, but were unlucky not to leave the Emirates Stadium with a share of the spoils on Sunday.
Alexis Sanchez’s 98th-minute penalty allowed Arsenal to do the double over Sean Dyche’s side, with their impressive draw against Manchester United in October their only haul from travels this term.
And with Leicester the only other side yet to win away, Burnley have had to find solace from remarkable form at Turf Moor, with their 25 home points the fourth best in the top flight.
But Gray, who scored just the Clarets’ fourth goal on the road, believes the results will come sooner rather than later to vindicate the performances.

“We have taken positives from a lot of the away games, especially against the top teams,” he said.
“We lost 2-1 against Manchester City and Tottenham and drew against Manchester United, so we aren’t an easy team to play against.
“We just need a bit of luck. We needed that on Sunday but it just went against us. We put in a performance and deserved something out of both games.
“We just need to work on that little bit of quality in the final third, that final pass and we will come away with three points.
“It’s just that final bit of the puzzle we are lacking at the moment but I’m sure that will come.”
