Rangel: Let’s keep grafting for new Swans boss
With his team winless in four games, between managers, and rooted to the bottom of the table – Angel Rangel’s first Premier League goal was rather a timely one.
The Spaniard hit an 88th-minute winner for Swansea against fellow strugglers Crystal Palace and has now issued a rallying cry for the rest of the season as Paul Clement prepares to take charge.
Former Bayern Munich and Chelsea assistant manager Clement was appointed as boss on Tuesday, and started off watching on from the stands at Selhurst Park before later appearing on the touchline.

When Wilfried Zaha cancelled out Alfie Mawson’s opener with seven minutes to go it looked like another frustrating night for Swansea – before Rangel connected sweetly to Leroy Fer’s pass.
And Rangel is confident Swansea have turned a corner just in time for the new man to guide the team to Premier League safety.
“That goal meant a lot to me, the lads and the fans,” he said.
“Some people were probably wondering why I was that far forward, but I saw Leroy was looking for the chip and his pass was perfect. I was happy with my finish too – it wasn’t bad at all!
“It was a winning goal and I am glad to have scored it, but without the organisation of the team and the hunger and commitment that we showed from the beginning it wouldn’t have happened.
“The goal is great, but it is about the commitment and spirit we showed. If we keep showing that then we have a chance.”
