Schneiderlin targets silverware after easy decision to join Everton
Morgan Schneiderlin is convinced he made the right decision in joining Everton, insisting the club is heading for success sooner rather than later.
Schneiderlin signed on the dotted line at Goodison Park on Thursday, bringing an end to a frustrating 18-month period at Manchester United which included playing just 11 minutes in the Premier League under Jose Mourinho this season.
The midfielder has reunited with manager Ronald Koeman now though, a man he flourished playing under at Southampton.

And while Everton may have suffered early exits in the both the League Cup and FA Cup this season, Schneiderlin says the potential at the club going forwards was a major attraction for joining.
“When you play for a club as big as Everton, the fans expect because it’s a massive club,” said the 27-year-old.
“You can look at the foundation here. They have big ambitions, big tradition and this club wants to get back to the top so that’s what persuaded me to come to this club.
“We want to do things but today the reality is that we are seventh but we want to go on to do great things.
“We want to win silverware. We saw last year with Leicester that it is possible to win the Premier League. Everton is a bigger club so we need to aim for this but take it step by step.
“When I made the decision to leave I knew the choice was important. I knew a lot of clubs were interested, I spoke with a lot of people but as soon as Everton came I had a platform because I already knew the staff, I already knew the way they were playing and Everton is a massive club. I always liked the stadium so for me it was an easy decision.
“I’m very happy because the first few days have been good already and I feel that something good is going to happen.”
