Spurs’ Kane gets fatherhood help from Trippier
Spurs striker Harry Kane revealed he’s been getting tips on fatherhood from team-mate Kieran Trippier after the birth of his first child.
The 23-year-old goal machine missed Spurs’ FA Cup third round tie against Aston Villa, which they won, to be at the birth of Ivy Jane Kane with his long-term partner Kate.
And despite a goal on his England debut, breaking the 30-goal barrier in his first full season of Premier League football and a Golden Boot award, Kane admitted the birth was a whole new level.
“The whole experience of being at the birth was quite surreal and one of the best feelings in the world, to become a dad,” he said.
“I wanted to be there for Kate and I’m so proud, especially proud of Kate, she was great, amazing.

“He (Trippier) has let me know a few things. I’ve been helping feeding, changing and getting her to sleep.
“I don’t think you can really put it into words. It’s totally different from, say, scoring a goal and the adrenaline rush you get from that.
“It’s overwhelming really. It’s a miracle the way it all happens and to see a young human being coming into life was just incredible.”
