Swansea must improve home form, says coach Gibbs
Swansea City caught the eye last week with an unexpected 3-2 win over Liverpool at Anfield.
The victory was the first under new manager Paul Clement, but assistant coach Nigel Gibbs says the Swans need to buck up their ideas at home if they are to drag themselves away from the Premier League relegation zone.
Clement’s side, who have won more games on the road than at the Liberty Stadium this season, host Southampton on Tuesday.
And Gibbs said the Swans’ next challenge is to improve their form on their own patch.

“We need to do better at home,” Gibbs said.
“Our home record is not good enough and we need to work hard at that.
“Southampton are a good side and it will be another tough game for us. But we will make sure we are well prepared again and hopefully that will bring another positive performance and result.
“The players have responded really well to us.
“We are working hard, getting to know them while they get to know us. We are putting our ideas across and it has been full-on – really, really hectic.
“The Liverpool result was great for us and so too was the performance. It has given everyone confidence as we move to the next game.”
