Capoue demands more clinical edge from Hornets
Watford must learn to be clinical if they want to thrive this season – that’s according to midfielder Etienne Capoue.
The Hornets showed promise against Manchester United over the weekend but still went down 2-0, and lie 13th in the Premier League table.
Watford got in plenty of good positions at Old Trafford but struggled to test Red Devils goalkeeper David De Gea with any regularity and failed to turn limited opportunities into goals.
And Capoue admits the game was something of a struggle, as the Vicarage Road outfit succumbed to goals from Juan Mata and Anthony Martial.

“They put us under a lot of pressure,” said Capoue. “We tried to play our football, but it was difficult and we didn’t create a lot of chances.
“We wanted to repeat the performance that we managed at Arsenal, but they played well in the midfield and created a lot of spaces. It was difficult for us to combat it, and they scored two good goals.
“We need to be more clinical at both ends of the pitch. When you have an opportunity to score, you have to take it, especially against this type of team.
“[M’Baye] Niang made a lot of chances out wide to cross, but we need to be in the box to finish it.”
