Cork: Chelsea defeat will not affect Swansea revival
Jack Cork insists Swansea’s resurgence under Paul Clement will not be derailed after one loss to Chelsea.
The Swans are now up to 16th in the league, just two points above the drop zone, but Clement’s impact has already been felt in wins over Liverpool, Southampton and Leicester in his short tenure so far.
Clement won Premier League manager of the month for January despite two losses in February, a narrow 2-1 defeat to Manchester City before Saturday’s slip at Stamford Bridge.
But Cork, who has featured in 22 of the Swans 26 league fixtures this season, is confident they can get back to winning ways, with a crucial run of games ahead of them.
Clement’s side welcome Burnley, before visiting fellow strugglers Hull City and Bournemouth and opening April with a visit from Middlesbrough.
“We have had a great start under the gaffer and we should not lose sight of that. Since the start of the year the only sides we have dropped points to are Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea. We still believe,” said the 27-year-old midfielder.

“It was a tough one to take but we won’t lose confidence. They are one of the best teams in the league and we competed.
“We know what we have to do but we have faith in the way we are going.
“They are four big games but people were saying similar things about the Palace and Leicester games and we dealt with the pressure and came away with wins.
“We will have to keep working hard and keep that same focus but if we keep performing and improving the way we have then I’m sure we can get the results and be alright.”
