Dyche: Poor away form not affecting Burnley players
Sean Dyche insists Burnley’s woeful away form is not having a psychological effect on his players despite not winning a game on their travels this season.
The Clarets suffered a 10th away defeat of the season at Watford on Saturday and are still searching for a win on the road this term.
Goals from Troy Deeney and M’Baye Niang saw the Hornets run out 2-1 winners at Vicarage Road, with Ashley Barnes’ 78th minute penalty Burnley’s only consolation.
Their spirited second-half display, following Jeff Hendricks’ sixth minute red card, was not enough to overturn the two-goal deficit but Dyche dismissed claims their away form is weighing on the players’ minds.

“There’s no baggage from this away thing,” he said. “There could be a load of baggage from that but there’s none.
“We’re in the Premier League; it’s not easy to be rolling round the Premier League winning games away from home.
“We just go ‘yeah okay, that’s the challenge’. We haven’t won a game away? So what? Let’s go and take on the next one.
“We’ve got clarity and alignment from me and the staff to take on whatever challenge comes and we’ve got a big one next week against Chelsea.”
