Keane will use recovery to return better than ever at Hull
Hull City’s Will Keane remains optimistic he can return better than ever after suffering a season-ending knee ligament injury against Southampton in November.
After undergoing surgery, Keane is hoping his experience of recovering from a similar injury in his time at Manchester United will aid his rehab this time around.
“To do the same injury twice is absolutely gutting but I have to remain positive and look to make small steps in my recovery,” said Keane.
“Having gone through it before I know it’s not an easy fix and I know there is a long way to go to get back but I have that experience under my belt.
“I know I’ll have difficult days but I know I’ll have positive days too. I know what it takes to get back fit and that is all I’m focussing on right now.”

Despite a long route back to full fitness, the English striker is fighting to return better than ever next season and repay the faith his club has shown in him.
He added: “It is what it is though and I’ll remain optimistic about my chances of getting back better than ever.
“It’s far from an ideal start for me at this club but I’m determined to recover well and then show everybody here exactly what I’m capable of.
“I owe it to the people that believed in me to get back and I’m confident I’ll do just that.”
