Liverpool’s Can looks for confidence boost
Despite being a near ever-present for Liverpool this year, Emre Can has admitted that he is disappointed with his own form and wants to prove his worth before the season is out.
Can arrived late for pre-season following his exertions with Germany at Euro 2016 and has struggled with knee and ankle problems.
He has shaken those off to be a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s side, but he revealed that he is keen to offer more of a goal threat and ensure his confidence levels are restored by the season’s end.

“I know that I could play better and score maybe a few more goals, but it was a tough period for me as well,” the 23-year-old midfielder said.
“I can show myself and I can show everyone that I am strong and I am a good player.
“I know I could play the season until now better, but I will come back and I will play better again.
“I have to get my confidence back, that’s very important for me.
“It wasn’t easy for me but now I look to the future and I know what I am able to do when I’m confident enough.”
