Lucas: Adjustment key to Arsenal improvement
Arsenal forward Lucas Perez feels he has adjusted to life in the Premier League following his summer move from Deportivo and thinks it will help his improvement at the club.
In just eight starts this season, Lucas has been involved in eight goals including a Champions League hat trick against Basel which helped send his side through to the knockout stages.
After delighting at his European performances, Lucas wants to make a similar impact in the Premier League before the season is out.
He said: “Players are all different, so some take longer to adapt than others. It was still quite a change for me to get used to the English league when I moved here from Spain. Everyone needs some time to adjust.
“Now I feel really comfortable and I’ve fitted in well to the team – that’s particularly important for a player.”
The forward will hope to feature in the Gunners’ side which faces Hull City on Saturday before they travel to Germany to play Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League.
And the 28-year-old says his happiness stems from that magical night in Switzerland.

The Spaniard said: “I’m delighted to have made my Champions League debut, to have made two assists in my first match [against Ludogorets] and scored three goals in the second. I feel really proud to have scored a hat-trick in this competition.
“It’s a competition that you always want to play in. I’ve dreamt of playing in it and I’ve been able to realise that dream here at Arsenal.”
