New Swan Ayew pledges to deliver for the fans
Swansea striker Jordan Ayew has promised to deliver for his new fans after his move from Aston Villa at the end of January.
Ayew only arrived at the Swans’ training ground a week ago having represented Ghana at the African Cup of Nations and is keen to make an impact after making his debut off the bench in a 2-0 win over champions Leicester City.
With the win on Ayew’s club debut, Swansea recorded their fourth victory in their last six league games and are now four points clear of the relegation zone – having began the year rock bottom.
“It has been a great start for me at the club,” said Ayew.
“I have had a great welcome from everybody and I am very happy to be here.
“The supporters have given me a great welcome too so everything is good.
“They were fantastic when I came on against Leicester. They have shown me support straightaway and now I will do my best to pay them back on the pitch.”

After making his first appearance for the Welsh club, the Ghanaian international has set his sights on opening his goal scoring account for Paul Clement’s side.
“I have just arrived, I have to train very hard and get to know my team-mates,” he said.
“I have to make sure I am as fit as possible for the games.
“And when a striker comes into a new club, you have to score some goals when the chances come.”
