Refreshed Ranocchia ready for crucial Tigers run-in

With the squad refreshed and recuperated, Hull City are ready to attack the final stretch of the season – that’s according to defender Andrea Ranocchia.

Hull are in a fight for Premier League survival but results have been promising since Marco Silva took over as boss in early January.

Their early FA Cup exit at the hands of Fulham also gave the Tigers the opportunity for a warm-weather training camp in Portugal last week.

And Italian centre-back Ranocchia claims that trip was incredibly beneficial, especially with games against relegation rivals such as Leicester City and Swansea City on the horizon in March.

“We have some very important matches coming because they are direct encounters with teams close to us in the table,” said Ranocchia.

“These are matches that we know we have to pick up points in.

“The manager pays huge attention to detail and we have a very organised squad.

“We’ve had a good, hard week away with the coaching staff in Portugal where we spoke and worked a lot on tactics and we now feel ready and prepared for what remains this season.”
