Wenger: Title is Chelsea’s to lose

The Premier League title is Chelsea’s to lose, according to Arsenal boss Arsenal Wenger.

The Gunners were beaten 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and now trail the runaway league leaders by 12 points.

Spurs are three points ahead of their North London rivals after their victory over Middlesbrough but Wenger can’t see anyone but Chelsea lifting the trophy at the end of the season.

“They look at the moment full confidence, powerful, strong, they don’t concede goals. It’s for them to lose it,” he said.

“They are in the best position, they don’t play in Europe, they can wait every week for the next game and prepare properly. They are in a very, very strong position.”

Wenger was once again in the stands for the match after being banned from the touchline by the FA and the Gunners’ boss admitted it did make things more difficult.

“It is very frustrating because I prefer to do my job like I want to do it, but I have to pay for what I did and I accept it,” he said.

“We have to get on with it and I especially have to get on with it. It’s frustrating to watch from upstairs because you sit in the middle of people.”
