Bardsley keen to extend Stoke stay
Phil Bardsley wants to stay at Stoke City beyond the end of the season but admits his future is up in the air as his contract winds down.
The veteran full-back joined Stoke on a free transfer from Sunderland three years ago, but has often played second fiddle to Glen Johnson.
However, Johnson has struggled with injuries this season and Bardsley has had to stand up – making 16 appearances in all competitions.

And now he is eyeing up a contract extension as manager Mark Hughes plots for next season.
“I’ve had a little chat with Stoke and we’ll see what happens,” said the 31-year-old.
“We’ll take it from there.
“If it’s not to be I’ll have to look at other options but the club know my thoughts and where I want to be so we’ll see.
“It’s a good club, a good changing room and a club going in the right direction. It would be daft to say I didn’t want to say but you never know.”
