Dawson impressed by Spurs togetherness
Tottenham Hotspur are currently ‘a great club to be with’ according to their former centre back Michael Dawson after they reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Hull City captain Dawson, who made 324 appearances for Spurs, witnessed his old club’s 6-0 thrashing of Millwall in the quarter finals of the Cup in his role as BBC pundit.
In that match, Tottenham displayed the sort of attacking verve that allowed Mauricio Pochettino’s young, vibrant side to challenge Leicester City for last season’s Premier League title.
Though they ultimately fell short, they have continued to impress in this campaign and are currently second in the table, threatening to finish above North London rivals Arsenal for the first time since 1995.
They also have an FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea to look forward to, even though they are sweating on Harry Kane’s fitness after he damaged ankle ligaments against Millwall.
Dawson said: “The front three of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son were brilliant.

“I also liked the way that Son was looking for Vincent Janssen when he came on, even though he was on a hat-trick.
“That shows the togetherness of the team and it was there for all to see when Janssen scored, they were all delighted to see him get on the scoresheet.
“You can feel that togetherness at the club just by speaking to people at the stadium, the feeling that everyone is together. It’s a great club to be with at this moment in time.”
