Morgan’s already right at home at Everton
It has only taken Morgan Schneiderlin three home games at Goodison Park to understand how special the Everton support on a matchday is.
The former Southampton and Manchester United midfielder has started the last trio of home games for the Toffees.
In that time they downed Manchester City, Bournemouth and Sunderland and currently sit seventh in the Premier League table.
And while the iconic Z-Cars song has already struck a chord in his heart, Schneiderlin also now understands how important it is for the Blues to live up to the club’s storied traditions.
“In my first game against Manchester City, when we won 4-0, it set the standard with the tempo,” said the January recruit. “I like the music when we come out on the pitch and the atmosphere at the end. I love it.

“But the atmosphere comes with doing well and winning matches. If we keep winning, I’m sure the fans will keep singing very loud.
“When we have to dig in and games are a bit harder, they will keep singing to give us more energy.
“It’s a big club with big expectations. There’s a lot of tradition with the things that the fans want. I’m relishing this challenge.
“The challenge at Manchester United was big as well, so I’m used to it. Hopefully we can improve as a squad and make this club even bigger.”
