Spurs’ Kane looks to end former club’s cup run
Spurs striker Harry Kane believes the time he spent on loan at Millwall helped turn him into the prolific goalscorer he is today.
Kane spent six months at the Lions in 2012 – scoring nine goals in 27 appearances – in a string of loan moves away from White Hart Lane before returning to his parent club.
The England striker won the Premier League Golden Boot last season netting 25 times and is one clear of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku this season with 19 thus far.
And the 23-year-old will welcome his old side to north London on Sunday as they do battle for a place in the FA Cup semi-final with Kane admitting he has a lot to thank Milwall for.

“I had a great time at Millwall, I enjoyed my loan spell there. I was 18 at the time, playing in the Championship. It was big part of my development,” said Kane.
“We were in a relegation battle and it really probably turned me into a man, playing in difficult, high-pressure games – and I managed to come out of it positively.
“It will be interesting to play them again. A lot has changed since I left, but I’m looking forward to it.
“The atmosphere is going to be amazing, of course with it being a quarter-final as well. It’s a big game.”
