We want fans to roar us to victory, says Manchester United boss Mourinho
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has heaped praise on the club’s fans ahead of their last-16 clash with FC Rostov in the Europa League.
The Portuguese manager said he “will not cry” about their FA Cup quarter-final exit to former club Chelsea, after Antonio Conte’s men won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Instead, Mourinho is targeting Thursday’s match at Old Trafford against the Russian outfit as a way of moving on from their loss in London.
Having played in Rostov last Thursday, Mourinho has said he is proud of his players and the club’s supporters, with a hectic fixture schedule taking its toll on an injury and suspension-hit squad.

“After Thursday in Rostov and Rostov again this Thursday I am really proud of the guys,” said Mourinho.
“But now we have to rest and on Thursday we have our supporters, our amazing supporters, absolutely amazing. So I am proud of my players and our supporters.
“We don’t cry. Nobody saw us crying this week because we don’t have Zlatan, or because we don’t have this or that,” he added.
“Nobody had one single word from us crying about it. The only thing we spoke about is something that is very obvious which is the fact that we are playing in Europe and our opponent (Chelsea) isn’t.”
