Agnew confident Boro have qualities to escape drop
Middlesbrough head coach Steve Agnew believes his Boro side have the fighting qualities necessary to get out of relegation danger.
Boro are six points adrift of 17th-place Hull City with two games in hand and face Arsenal at home on Monday night.
Three points against the Gunners could prove vital in their fight to stay in the league.
And Agnew insists his side are capable of scoring goals, even though they have managed just 22 in the Premier Leagueall season.
“I can’t ask any more in terms of all of the work that we’ve been doing in recent weeks,” he said.

“It’s just that little bit of luck; the bounce of the ball, as I keep saying. But I can sense that the players know we’re not far away from that result we need.
“They’ll stay with it and continue to fight – that’s the kind of group that they are.
“We need to start scoring goals. We’re capable and we have the players.
“Our movement and ability to create has been evident – we just need to make sure when the chance comes along, we take it.”
