Baggies keeper Foster loves being on same side as ‘sicko’ Dawson

Craig Dawson has been described as an absolute sicko and a horrible player by West Brom team-mate Ben Foster.

And the Baggies goalkeeper admits he is simply relieved to be on the same team as the no-nonsense defender, rather than coming up against him.

Dawson has been a defensive rock for Tony Pulis’ troops this term but his ferocious tackling has earned him nine yellow cards.

And Foster insists the 26-year-old’s old-school playing style has him feeling sorry for opponents.

“He is an absolute sicko,” said Foster. “I would hate to play left wing against Craig Dawson, he is a horrible, horrible player.

“We purposely set up where I will kick my goal-kicks on to him and I know for a fact whoever is playing left-back or left wing has got to try and compete with him. And he’s all elbows, heads, he’s anything.

“I feel sorry for the guys that have got to jump with him because he doesn’t care.

“It’s almost like he doesn’t know that there’s going to be any pain or danger, he just runs full pelt and smashes them. It’s horrible.

“Even defensively he is like a rock, he will literally try and bite the ball if he can, he’s a sicko. He’s been fantastic all season long.”
