Chelsea’s Conte to avoid future conflict on the sidelines
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte never hides his emotions on the touchline but he insists creating conflict with opposition managers could not be further from his mind.
Conte’s side face Manchester United on Sunday as the Blues’ former boss Jose Mourinho looks to extend his unbeaten run with the Red Devils.
Chelsea could have their lead at the top of the Premier League table cut to four points ahead of Sunday if Spurs can beat Bournemouth on Saturday.
But Conte will only be worrying about events on the pitch as he looks to take another step towards a first Premier League title.
“I don’t like the conflict [on the touchline], l prefer to be concentrated and focused on my team but sometimes it can happen and it is normal for me and for the other coach to have sometimes this type of situation,” he said.

“But if you ask me if I like or don’t like it, I prefer to be focused on the game, to understand the game and to find the right solution if my team is in difficulty.
“The sporting conflict is the game and two teams are in a sporting conflict during the game.
“It is not a friendly game, it is a game that another team wants the three points and for this reason you fight with all your possibility to try to win.”
